A Divine Quartet
Cultivate a thread of devotion through these auspicious dates. From the heart-opening love of Kṛṣṇa Janmāṣṭamī, through the obstacle-clearing wisdom of Gaṇeśa Chaturthī, into the fierce protective strength of Durgā through Navarātri , and finally to the abundance and light of Lakṣmī’s Dīpāvalī.
I've always loved festivals. Looking back, I've often found myself organising something meaningful right on an auspicious date, without even planning it that way it just seems to happen. This time, I got organised a little earlier than usual, and when I looked at the calendar, four dates lined up so beautifully I couldn't ignore them.
Why these dates
In the Vedic tradition, the wisdom keepers describe certain days as carrying a heightened concentration of a specific divine quality as a genuine shift in what's available to us energetically. The same practice, offered on the day that quality is most active, is held to land differently than the same practice offered on any ordinary Tuesday. That's the thinking behind this series. Each session isn't just "themed" around a deity; it's placed on the day their energy is considered most accessible to us. What a blessing.
Kṛṣṇa
Divine Love

Festival: Janmāṣṭamī
Janmāṣṭamī marks the appearance of Kṛṣṇa — born at midnight to end a tyrant's rule and restore what had been lost, a birth so charged that even the prison guards are said to have fallen asleep as the doors opened. Traditionally, devotees fast until midnight, then break the fast together with song, sweets, and the retelling of his life.
Devotion, love, and the courage to stay open-hearted. Kṛṣṇa is playful, wise, and utterly present, reminding us that the divine is not distant, but intimate. This session invites the same joyful devotion (bhakti) that has moved seekers for thousands of years.
Durgā
Courage and Fire

Festival: Navarātri
Navarātri — nine nights — honours Durgā across her nine forms (the Navadurgā), building toward her victory over the demon Mahiṣāsura on Vijayadaśamī. It's the most widely celebrated festival of the divine feminine in the Indic calendar.
Durgā is fierce, protective strength — the warrior-mother who meets what threatens us head-on. This immersion draws on the energy of Navarātri to help you locate your own courage and clarity.
Gaṇeśa

Festival: Gaṇeśa Chaturthī
Gaṇeśa Chaturthī celebrates his birth and is traditionally the moment to invoke him before any new beginning a venture, a journey, a piece of learning.
Clearing what's in the way. Gaṇeśa is invoked before any new beginning the remover of obstacles, the Lord of discernment. A session for anyone standing at the edge of something new.
Lakṣmī
Light and Abundance

Festival: Diwali
Dīpāvalī, the festival of lights, is a five-day celebration whose central night is devoted to Lakṣmī Pūjā homes are cleaned, diyas (ghee lamps) are lit, and doors are opened wide, traditionally believed to welcome the goddess of abundance across the threshold.
Abundance, gratitude, and welcoming in what's already yours. As the season turns toward darker months, this closing session honours the light of Dīpāvalī — an invitation to notice the abundance already present in your life.
