GENERAL QUESTIONS

Do I need to have a strong or advanced asana practice?

No. This method supports you in experiencing and teaching yoga regardless of your physical capacity. A steady interest in learning is more important than advanced physical ability.

Do I need to have a desire to become a Yoga Teacher?

No. Many students join for personal development, to deepen their practice, or to explore philosophy. Teaching is optional.

Are there any prerequisites?

There are no formal prerequisites. The training is suitable for all levels, including beginners with a dedicated interest in yoga.

What if I have an injury or limited mobility?

The breath-centric, adaptive approach makes this training accessible for a wide range of physical abilities. You are welcome to participate at your own pace.

How many people are accepted into the training?

Group sizes are kept intentionally small to support personalised learning and a strong sense of community.

Do I need a special program to access the materials?

Your training manual and textbooks are provided as hard copies. The online library of lectures and practices is hosted on Teachable, which you can access through a standard login - access will be provided to all students upon booking and payment.

When will this next be available?

The next intake runs from September 2026 to March 2027. Complete the expression of interest form to join the list and be notified as soon as bookings open.

How long does the training go for?

The program runs over six months and includes five in-person retreats, online mentoring sessions, and self-paced integration between retreats.

ACCOMMODATION AND RETREAT EXPERIENCE

Is accommodation included in the training fee?

Yes. Private rooms with shared bathrooms are included at our Homestead.

Are meals included during the retreats?

Yes. All retreats are fully catered with nourishing meals made from organic, homegrown produce where possible. Dietary needs can be accommodated. When bookings open, you’ll be able to list your dietary requirements in the onboarding form.

What does a typical day at the retreat look like?

Each day includes a mix of practice, lectures, philosophy, rest, and nourishment. For full details, please download the full curriculum. (will link to the form)

CERTIFICATION AND REQUIREMENTS

What qualification will I receive?
You will receive a 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training certificate. Our curriculum goes beyond the standard 200-hour framework, offering a deeper and more comprehensive experience.

What are the requirements for certification?
All assessment tasks must be completed. You are expected to maintain regular self-practice and participate in all scheduled sessions where possible.

ATTENDANCE AND COMMITMENTS

What if I need to miss a session?

Students may miss up to two days. Please give advance notice where possible. Missed sessions require a 2-hour mentoring session at an additional cost, to stay aligned with the learning pathway.

What is the time commitment?

The training includes five in-person retreats, fortnightly mentoring calls, self-practice, and assessments. The structure is supportive but does require steady engagement.

How much self-study is required between retreats?

Expect gentle self-study, reading, and personal practice. This supports integration rather than overwhelming your schedule.

AFTER THE TRAINING

Will I be able to teach after completing the training?

Yes. You will be qualified to teach upon completion. Many graduates choose to begin teaching, while others continue for personal development.

Do I get to keep the training manual and textbooks after the course?

Yes. All printed materials are yours to keep.

How long do I have access to the online library?

You will have ongoing access for the duration of the training. If you want to extend your access beyond the training period, Rachel offers pathways for continued learning that can support your ongoing development.

What ongoing support is available after the training?

Rachel offers advanced training, mentoring, and continuing education opportunities for teachers wishing to deepen their knowledge. If you want to pursue deeper study, the Alchemy Advanced Yoga Teacher Training offers a structured path and contributes to CPD points. If you prefer ongoing monthly support, community, and continued connection to practice, the Becoming Collective membership offers a gentle way to stay connected.
